My dream
I woke up and noticed i was lying in a fluffy bed of feathers. I made my way to the bathroom from my sleeping quarters. I looked up and fainted in shook because i saw a human face looking back at me from a mirror. Though this human was not completely ugly, he had the refined features of a polar bear. I had break fest of orange juice and waffles. To my self or my dream self I said "i will change the humans". I went to my work place and it happened that i was giving a speech. I said "My fellow men and woman I am here to speak on the behalf of the polar bears. Many of you care about those Arctic bears but you do not know how to help them. Let me tell you. You shall help them by not driving your cars or if you do go for cars with high MPG. Don't waste gas. When you can walk or take public transportation do so. In your homes do not leave electric appliances on so you do not waste energy. Install solar panels and try to get your neighbors to do the same. Do not use coal energy. Respect nature and help it along. Donate money to enviormental agencies. Educate yourself about the bears and do things that will help them. Do not eat fish that comes from the arctic and petition fishing companies." Man I was worked up and then I fell out of bed I realived that it was a dream. If you do the things I said in my dream you will help us, I promise you that.
About our society 2
I just heard from Roberts wife that robert is having an audiance with the bear emperor. I felt good for my brother. My reasearch mission was assigned by him.

A bear poem
On the lone ice plain I stand
With no one with me
My parents have gone
On their last hunt
They where the greatest on the plains
But the hunter
Became the hunted
And alone I stand
I feel as cold as the ice
I have the sorrow of many
My fellow bears all
know the feeling of losing one close
I lost my parents to the hands
The hands of man
Now they take my home away
Melting it slowly
Turning ice into slush
Making it to hot to stand
Taking our beloved fish
Our food our life blood
They are killing us
Slowley and surely
Soon all of us bears will be on our last great hunt.
That was his poem. Open your eyes
Alternative energy
We broke into two groups and did a presentation.
- Wind Energy
"Humans can create energy by spinning turbines. Wind energy uses wind to spin the turbines creating energy that is cheap and clean... meaning that it does not throw green house gasses into the atmosphere. Wind energy though only works in places where there is constant wind and the wind spinners take up room. The kinetic or moving energy of wind is converted into electrical energy. The groups of wind spinners make wind farms that supply partial energy to the grid. Some towns use smaller spinners to generate their electricity without using fossil fuels.
- Solar
There are three types of Solar energy.
- Sunlight is directed onto solar panels made up of photovoltaic cells that convert the photons energy into light energy. They are made up of semi-conductors and silicon. This type of solar energy can power small things such as human time-tellers and math-doers but this solar energy can also supply a large amount of energy to the grid. Humans can also have solar panels installed on their houses.
- Sunlight is reflected onto a pipe carrying oil which is super heated by the light of the sun. The pipe then goes into a vat of water that steams. The steam spins turbines that produce electricity. This is known to some humans as concentrated solar power technologies.
- The final type collects heat to heat water.. I don't see how you humans like warm and hot water at temperatures of above 60 degrees. I mean anything above 40 is horrible.
- Nuclear energy
This energy is made by using a uranium rods that are super heated . The rods are dipped in water making steam that spins turbines. This energy is dangerous because of the uranium. The nuclear reactors can have melt downs and blow up. Us bears know the risk because of the Ukraine incident in 1986.
- Hydroelectricity
Is made by water spinning turbines. It is very productive but it dams up water and can destroy the natural habitats of animals in that area. It is a pretty simple idea, but alot of energy goes into building the dam.
- Hydrogen fuel cells
Hydrogen fuel cells create electricity by making atoms bond. (most of these bears have based bechemitric which is your chemistry.) The bonding creates electricity which can spin a motor and generate power.
- Geothermal
Geothermal is electricity harnessed from the heat of the Earths inside. The inside of the earth is magma which is molten rock. Water is heated by this magma to.. yeah you guessed it make steam and spin a turbine. This energy in theory can not run out because water is renewable and the Earth's heat will never go away.
- Fusion and Plasma energy
This is not mainstream but in the future it might be used. Plasma energy is generated by plasmas which are super heated gasses. The US uses 0% plasma energy
- Bioenergy
Bioenergy is the second best alternative in the US. Bioenergy is seen in fuels such as ethanol. Some of this energy has a high cost to make and als uses alot of energy to make.
People use this knowledge and use green energy so you can protect our majestic species.

Why I posted nothing over the end week
- It was national bear day, the celebration of the great bear God. He goes by many names. But this end week was a time of much celebration. All work was cancelled. The traditional feast was small though and there where guard bears making sure that no one took to much food. I had a good time praising the great bear
- I was not home at all. On the first day I was over at my friend Elliots cavern and we had a huge party to celebrate the mastery of fire... no one tell robert that. His little sisters friend was over so we also had to do what they wanted.. a dance off. I completely won that dance off.
- The next day I had to pick up my friend from Bear town. I went to his house to eat food and stayed the night.
I just got home and I thought I would explain why there is nothing new

The second day of Sids visit continued
He replied "Humans use cars and we will never stop but some people use cars with high mpg... those are the amount of distance they go with a gallon of gas. The higher the MPG the less pollution."
Another bear asked a question about the water walkers and other things humans use.
Sid said that they use electricity to power there houses and electricity is made in many ways. He said he would tell the other bears what they her later.
The second day of Sids visit
We stepped to the door and a angry mob was infront of us. Atleast 50 bears and the lord of the
He roared at us and then in a gruff voice complained "Because of them humans like that one over there are taking are fish in numbers greater then they need. They throw away masses of extra food that is wasted. They do not need to fish so much. We are generous people but we need to eat our selves so they cannot keep on stealing and eating what should be ours" and then he roared again . Another bear wxplained "we have to swim 60 miles for fish.

My one human buddy Sid
I exploded on him "It is not cold any more it is warming at rates not seen and you are to blame my friend. I then apologised and he to apologised as well.
I told him "My friend I am sorry you and some of the people like you are trying to help us out and you actually care about us. I mean you educate the general populace about global warming and tell them what to do to slow it. I mean not all of the humans are bad but to us bears see your kind as the destroyer in our land. Not all of the bears will appreciate you staying with me and you will not any under circumstances want to anger them the slightest. You know one bear could quickly eat you for a snack."
I should explain that Sid can understand animals and that he is one of the few humans who have set foot in bearville and have lived to flee the arctic tundra.
Together we walked up to my house at the edge of bearville nobody knew that he was here so maybe he would have a pleasant visit.
He and I shared a few fish sticks and we had one of the greatest human inventions, Hienz 57 varieties ketchup. A paste made of the thing you call tomatoes ids most delicious with fish sticks. Sid also brought a strange crisp called the potatoe chip and he brought cookies.
I decided to keep some chips and cookies for my brother Robert and his wife.

A phone call and after
"Hello"
"Hi Robert"
"hey"
"did you read the article yet"
"don't remind me, my wife is having a fit"
"Bro that is funny your girl is always mad at you"
"My wife is yelling I got to go"
"I will call you back later"
So after that I reached for A fish stick to eat. I felt sorry for my brother because he has two mouths to feed.
The slaughter of the 60's
Well in the period you called the 60's in the time my parents just got together humans began an endless slaughter on our people that depleted our population to all time lows. Bad times, us bears would flee as you humans would open fire. I know that most of the newer generations of you humans care a little more then they did and y0u care a tiny bit for us
We are still hunted but not like in the 60's. Just recently we were added to the endangered species list by the United States. Thank you America... Hey also Alaska is a wonderful place the water is always the perfect temperature so thanks for making much of Alaska a wild life reserve.

Fish?
In the distance I saw a broken sheet of ice that was populated by some seals. I once again traversed the slushy plains until I hit the water. I began to swim to the seals ice and I wondered how did the ice get there. Half way there I remembered that a large ice sheet had broken off near my research station. I reached the ice and began my hunt. At least a half hour later I had a kill and I began to feast upon the seal. After eating half of it I slung it on my back and returned home. I was glad that the water was so nice compared to the blasted heat on the arctic plains.
Later that night I spoke with Juan my friend from a Mexican zoo. He told me that those humans that captured him harvested the fish in vast numbers. I then asked if they knew what there over fishing was doing to our food source and that of the ringed seal. I also wanted to know if they were doing the some thing in the south pole. Juan and I ate the rest of the seal I captured and some thawed fish sticks from his freezer. He told me I should eat any food I had in my freezer sparingly and that I should try to buy some seal steaks and put those to freeze so they would not go bad.
Another reason to despise you humans that add to my list.
- The warming of the planet
- The over harvesting of fish
- There carelessness of there enviorment and the biosphere
- There stupidity, only some of them are stupid some are actually quite smart
- Last but not least they are just plain ugly
So if you are reading my blog please listen to our plight and do something to help us out. Petition the fishing companies or something. I know it is not just our fish you take but also the fish of our cousins the grizzly bear in other countries. I know fish is most delicious but please eat less of it and when you eat it think of us and other bears across the world and the damage fishing is doing to the biosphere and food webs of it.
So I went to sleep after making a shopping list for tomorrow and thoughts of what humans have done to us and our lives.

About us polar bears
What this is all about...
http://www.polarbearsinternational.org/cartoon-corner/
To learn about me the narrator Skii the polar bear and my society read 'My Story'
This blog is meant to entertain everyone as well as inform everyone what is happening to the polar ice caps from the results of global warming, and how that affects me and my fellow bears who live there.
So let me begin...
